Congratulations on completing the coursework for the National Student Leadership Conference! Recently, NSLC has teamed up with the Institute for Domestic and International Affairs, Inc. (IDIA), to help you further your NSLC experience. IDIA is a proven leader in working with students, teachers, and schools to increase civic awareness by molding student-leaders like you to create a world with educated, forward-thinking, young adults. If you are interested in working with your peers to create a Model United Nations club, Model Congress club, or other civics organization in your school, IDIA can help.
With its 15 years of experience in running student programming like Model UN and Model Congress conferences, IDIA can provide assistance in starting a club by helping you find an advisor, providing tips for getting your peers involved, finding conferences for you and your peers to attend, and finding funding to help you reach your goals. In addition, once you have decided to attend a conference or start a club, IDIA can work with you and your peers to prepare you for a conference experience including how to write position papers, understanding the rules of procedure, and how to conduct research.
IDIA wants to help you build on your NSLC experience by taking what you've learned during your 11 days and bringing it back to your family, your friends, your neighbors, and your school. To contact IDIA, email: idiainfo@idia.net or visit their website at www.idia.net.
